About Modern High School
Modern High School, established in the year 1960 in pursuance of the vision of its founder Mr. Mohammed Afzal Uddin Ahmed, has been working with conviction for providing quality and holistic education. The institute has been rendering yeoman service in the field of education for over five decades. The name that the institution has earned for itself, In fact, modern group of high schools was one among the few institutions to offer education in english, urdu and telugu media. With a vision to train teachers with values, he established modern college of education (B.Ed.) in the year 2002.

Mr. Mohammed Afzaludding Ahmed’s life has been highly illustrious and exemplary saga of selfless service. Endowed with philanthropic vision and reformatory zeal, he has made significant contribution for the upliftment and empowerment of the down-trodden. He has engaged himself in service activities by way of organizing a variety constructive programmes and awareness work-shops, medical camps etc. Inappreciation of his work the govermnet of Andra Pradesh had given him the ‘Best Teacher Award’ in the year 1994 which was presented to him by the goverment of AP, his excellency Sri Krishna Kantji.
Additionally, Mr. Ahmed has been instrumental in running medical camps that provide essential healthcare services to those in need. His efforts have not only improved access to medical care but have also raised awareness about health and wellness in underserved populations. His work reflects a deep commitment to social justice and community development, demonstrating his belief in the potential of every individual to lead a better life.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions, the government of Andhra Pradesh honored him with the ‘Best Teacher Award’ in 1994. This prestigious award was presented to him by His Excellency Sri Krishna Kantji, acknowledging Mr. Ahmed’s influence as an educator and community leader.
