At MODERN HIGH SCHOOL, our goal is to harness the best elements of the curriculum while ensuring a wide range of subjects aligned with age-appropriate learning objectives. We believe that quality education should not only foster character and values but also balance academic and non-academic pursuits.
Our primary curriculum is designed to ignite curiosity and a love for learning in children, tailored to their developmental stages. At the primary level, we integrate our curriculum with NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) standards, providing a platform for all students to showcase their hidden talents and abilities.
We emphasize experiential learning, allowing students to engage with concepts through hands-on activities and projects. This approach strengthens their understanding and provides practical experience.
Our aim is to equip children with the knowledge and skills necessary for their lives as children and adults. We focus on nurturing their creative expression, emotional growth, and physical development.
In classes I to V, we encourage inquiry and exploration while building confidence in essential skills such as reading, writing, listening, speaking, information technology, problem-solving, observation, and measurement. Students participate in assemblies, concerts, and sports, helping them gain confidence in communicating with larger audiences and fostering teamwork.
We recognize that children at this stage are active, curious, imaginative, and candid. Each child is unique, with distinct abilities, interests, and aspirations. Therefore, our curriculum is designed to motivate them to become self-confident, self-reliant, and disciplined, helping them reach their full potential through a variety of curricular and co-curricular programs.
Learning occurs through informal methods, including activities, projects, presentations, and hands-on experiences, alongside formal education. We provide engaging opportunities for both indoor and outdoor play, as well as field trips aimed at specific educational goals.
Our curriculum includes a mix of whole group, small group, and individual activities to accommodate different learning styles. We promote an interdisciplinary understanding of Language, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science, teaching them both as individual subjects and in an integrated manner.
Physical education is also a key component, enhancing health and fitness while providing recreational enjoyment. We offer computer courses that introduce students to information and communication technology, allowing them to develop practical skills and knowledge.
Additionally, we provide opportunities in Dance, Fine Arts, Western and Indian Music, Speech, and Drama, contributing to well-rounded development. These activities are part of the regular curriculum and also offered as co-curricular programs.
